The Mouvement contre le Racisme, l’Antisémitisme et pour la Paix (Movement against Racism, Antisemitism and for Peace - MRAP) was established on May 22, 1949. In 1977, the organization changed its name to Mouvement contre le Racisme et pour l’Amitié entre les Peuples (Movement against Racism and for Friendship among Nations). The organization explains that it removed the word “antisemitism” since “the notion of racism de facto includes antisemitism.”
Electronic Intifada (EI) is a major online media outlet active in promoting the Palestinian agenda with news articles and commentary.

On May 24, 2022, CNN published an article alleging that evidence suggests that Shireen Abu Akleh was killed in targeted attack by Israeli forces. This inflammatory charge, which was vehemently denied by the IDF, relies heavily on claims made by Chris Cobb-Smith who has joined with the most politicized anti-Israel NGOs in pushing false or unsubstantiated accusations of Israeli violations of the laws of war.
On May 11, 2022, Al-Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh was killed during clashes between Israeli troops and Palestinian gunmen in the West Bank. Predictably, the same chorus of NGOs that claim any Israeli use of force is a war crime, immediately accused Israel of killing the journalist, amplifying the PA’s position that the incident demanded an ICC investigation, while calling for more BDS measures.
On August 23, 2021, Human Rights Watch (HRW) published its third (!) pseudo-report on the two-week armed conflict in Gaza and Israel, the latest titled “Gaza: Israel’s May Airstrikes on High-Rises.”
