Gerald Steinberg appeared as an expert before the Knesset Finance Committee, on NGO influence over the decision by the EU to label products manufactured beyond the Green Line.
The proposed EU policy of labeling products exported from Israeli communities built over the "Green Line" comes after advocacy from NGOs and activists working toward the goal of a comprehensive boycott of Israel.
The EUs policies on Israel, the Palestinian conflict, and regional changes are greatly influenced and distorted by the close relationship with a narrow group of political advocacy NGOs.
