On May 31, 2022, Palestinian NGO Al-Haq, along with 90 co-signatories, submitted a flagrantly antisemitic report to the UN's permanent Commission of Inquiry presenting a blatantly false historical account, denying Israel’s right to exist and denying the Jewish people their right to sovereign equality.

This year, the UN again presents misleading statistics and adopts invented standards in order to advance a narrative that the IDF violates the rights of Palestinian minors
On June 7, 2022, the UN Human Rights Council “Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and in Israel” (COI) published its first report. As expected, this initial report perpetuates outright falsehoods, and relies on information provided by terror-linked and anti-Israel NGOs to previous UN bodies. This is consistent with the COI’s prejudicial mandate and the bias of commission members.
On May 24, 2022, CNN published an article alleging that evidence suggests that Shireen Abu Akleh was killed in targeted attack by Israeli forces. This inflammatory charge, which was vehemently denied by the IDF, relies heavily on claims made by Chris Cobb-Smith who has joined with the most politicized anti-Israel NGOs in pushing false or unsubstantiated accusations of Israeli violations of the laws of war.
On April 29, Human Rights Watch announced the appointment of longtime anti-Israel campaigner Sari Bashi to the position of program director, where she will be responsible for HRW’s research and investigations.
On March 25, 2022, the Palestinian NGO Al-Haq, brought a PFLP-affiliated individual to appear before the UN Human Rights Council (HRC).
NGO Monitor submitted an analysis to the US State Department of several key dimensions related to this issue in 2021, highlighting the extreme ideological positions and methodological failures that define NGO reporting on Israel.
