EuroMed Rights, previously known as Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN), regularly lobbies the EU and UN and disproportionately focuses on Israel and holds it responsible for the continuation of the conflict. Reflecting this one-sided bias, EuroMed Rights members in “Israel/OPT” are all highly politicized NGOs active in the Arab-Israeli conflict.
AMP provides “advocacy training” including instruction on how to lobby politicians, and produces media and activism guidebooks, such as campus activism resources including fact-sheets, anti-normalization material, and Power Point presentations that parrot the Hamas narrative of the 2014 Israeli-Hamas conflict in Gaza, claiming that “Palestinian resistance was born out of the occupation and the siege, plain and simple.”
The IADL, recognized by the CIA as a Communist front, supports BDS campaigns and regularly makes submissions to the United Nations and International Criminal Court against Israel.
The European Legal Support Center (ELSC) was jointly founded by the Rights Forum, the Palestinian NGO Network (PNGO), and European jurists as an initiative aimed at “defending individuals and organizations that face false and defamatory accusations of antisemitism and repression because of their support for Palestinian rights and particularly for BDS measures to achieve these rights.”
War on Want is a British NGO that is a leader and mobilizer of anti-Israel BDS (boycotts, divestments, and sanctions) campaigns.
Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights (LPHR) runs a project titled “Protect Human Rights Defenders” to “support harassed or detained Palestinian human rights defenders by submitting cases to the UN and EU member states.”
Trócaire claims to work "in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT) and Israel." Its description of the region claims a population of 4.1 million (see below). The population of the West Bank and Gaza is appoximately 4 million, while that of Israel is over 8 million. Trócaire thus seems to serve only the population in the West Bank and Gaza, although it claims to work in Israel as well.
Founded in 1997 by Jeff Halper, a former Professor at Ben-Gurion University, the Israel Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD), describes itself as a "non-violent, direct-action group originally established to oppose and resist Israeli demolition of Palestinian houses in the Occupied Territories". The scope its advocacy and lobbying extends much further, however. As documented in previous NGO Monitor reports, ICAHD uses its funding (including 472,000 from the EU in 2005) to campaign against the two-state solution, promote boycotts and divestment, uses terms such as "apartheid", and grossly distort the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Moreover, ICAHD often recites statistics on the numbers of Palestinian homes demolished in the West Bank without sources making independent verification of ICAHDs allegations impossible. ICAHDs claims that Israeli planning and development policies are founded in racism are opinions based on ideology, and of no validity beyond this.
The Land Research Center has accused Israel of “apartheid,” “ethnic cleansing,” “Judaization,” “violating the very basic rights of humanity,” and “vicious violations.”
