In 2020-2027, Oxfam-Quebec is slated to receive up to CAD 50 million in funding from the Canadian government, of which 10% is earmarked for “volunteer placements” at NGOs based in the West Bank and Gaza.
On May 27, 2021, the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) adopted a resolution calling to establish an independent commission of inquiry to investigate alleged Israeli war crimes. The language of the resolution is nearly identical to the recommendations from an April 2021 report published by Human Rights Watch
Political advocacy NGOs have engaged in a long-time campaign against American security assistance to Israel.
On April 27, 2021, HRW will publish a report as part of a renewed NGO push over the past 18-months, attaching the term “apartheid” to discourse on Israel. The report adds to decades of HRW’s obsessively singling out of Jews and Israel, and rejection of the legitimacy of a Jewish nation state, per se and regardless of policies or borders
In May 2020, Oxfam released a “briefing note” on “Violence and impunity in the West Bank during the COVID-19 pandemic.” In reality, Oxfam took pre-existing, misleading, distorted, outdated, and sloppy research, and artificially relabeled it “COVID-19 and annexation” in order to push a BDS (boycotts, divestment, and sanctions) agenda.
On May 15, 2018, Adalah and seven other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) sent a letter to US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo to “Investigate Israel’s Use of Lethal Force in Gaza and Halt Foreign Assistance to Israeli Military Units.” The letter adopts a BDS (boycott, divestments, and sanctions) agenda against Israel, in stark contrast to the signatories’ donors’ policies.
While Amnesty International may be considered the most prestigious international NGO, the organization is tainted by a number of scandals. In addition, systematic research shows that its publications contain systematic flaws, erroneous claims, and consistent bias against Israel.
Amnesty International accusations are reckless, blatantly biased, and reflect the lack of a credible research fact-finding methodology. Amnesty lacks the expertise and credibility to analyze or assign blame for deaths in the context of violent confrontations in the West Bank.
