NGOs capitalize on ideological and political antagonism within the UN to bring their anti-Israel campaigns to the international stage. The devastating impact of NGOs is compounded by the institutional bias of UN bodies, such as the Human Rights Council, the Special Rapporteur on Palestinian issues, and biased “fact-finding” missions.
On July 3, UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese will present a report to the UN Human Rights Council alleging that global companies across a range of industries “sustain[] Israel’s illegal occupation and ongoing genocidal campaign.”
Many of the activities and projects undertaken by Swisspeace are highly politicized, reflecting ideological preferences, prejudices and biases that can interfere with the organization’s stated objectives. In the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the biases are highly visible.

UNRWA is part of the UN-NGO network dedicated to campaigns to demonize and delegitimize Israel, in contrast to humanitarian principles and promoting peace. Post-October 7, this entire system must be reviewed and reconsidered.

On February 2, 2023, three Palestinian NGOs published a submission to the UN Human Rights Council whitewashing acts of violence by Palestinians, omitting core evidence linking Palestinians to the terror and terrorist organizations that maintain the conflict.
