Naftali Balanson's Letter to the Editors of the Associated Press, ABC, and The Star
Dear editors,
In an article on increasing violent attacks by Palestinians against Israeli civilians and security personnel (“Palestinian shot dead in attempted stabbing, police say,” 31 October 2015), Amnesty International’s unverifiable allegations, accusing Israel of “extra-judicial executions,” are quoted without once questioning the trustworthiness of the organization or its claims.
In fact, the allegations by Amnesty are based on extremely selective and non-credible testimonies from supposed eyewitnesses. Readily-available video evidence, in which Palestinian terrorists can be seen wielding knives and attacking Israelis before being shot, is simply ignored.
This is the abuse, not the defense, of human rights by Amnesty, done to advance political and ideological beliefs.
