"Immigration Minister Jason Kenney’s declaration that Ottawa’s funding for a church aid agency was cut because of its anti-Israel stand is threatening to open a chasm of hostility between Canadian Christian and Jewish organizations. The minister’s office has not given reasons for his accusation against Kairos, the social justice arm of Canada’s Roman Catholic and major Protestant faiths, but it did specifically refer to a column in the Toronto Star that suggested that Kairos’s actions were anti-Semitic.
