[Excerpt:]

"As shown by NGO Monitor, Irish Aid itself and agencies such as Trócaire have been guilty of spending massive sums on overtly political organisations, rather than humanitarian projects, especially in the Middle East. Irish Aid funds the Palestinian NGOAl-Haq which, instead of providing humanitarian assistance, spearheads dubious ‘war crimes’ charges against Israeli leaders in courts across the world. This can hardly be considered an appropriate use of public money. Meanwhile, Trócaire is listed as an ‘international partner’ to an Israel boycott campaign run by the organisation Badil. This overtly political campaign has no place in a budget for international development."
