As a direct result of NGO Monitor research, the Dutch government is halting €8 million in funding, over three years, to the Palestinian NGO known as “UAWC.” The Dutch announced that it will also conduct an external investigation into UAWC’s ties to the PFLP terror group.
On December 18, European Court of Auditors (ECA) released a report finding a severe transparency deficiency in EU funding to Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
In October 2018, the Danish Foreign Minister announced a new policy regarding Danish support for Israeli and Palestinian civil society organizations, stating that projects that promote BDS, organizations that question Israel’s right to exist, and those with ties to terror will not be eligible to receive funds
In June 2018, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express shut down online credit card donations for a number of terror-linked NGOs active in the Arab-Israeli conflict.
In December 2017, the Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law Secretariat ceased support and funding for NGOs.
