French Funding to anti-French and anti-Israel Propaganda by UJFP

In October 2017, Union Juive Française pour la Paix (UJFP) released a series of ten video clips “Paroles juives contre le racisme” (“Jewish words against racism”). The videos feature highly incendiary remarks against the State of Israel, Zionism, and France. UJFP is active in discriminatory and illegal (according to the Court of Cassation) anti-Israel BDS (boycotts, divestment, and sanctions) campaigns in France and is a member of the Platform of the French NGOs for Palestine.

Amnesty Fails Basic Reading Comprehension

On December 6, Amnesty International condemned US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. In so doing, Amnesty blatantly misrepresents the content of the announcement in order to allege that it somehow violates international law and Palestinian human rights.

Human Rights Watch Op-ed Repeats False and Distorted Claims on Palestinian Minors to Support Proposed BDS Legislation

On November 14, 2017, US Congresswoman Betty McCollum (D-MN) proposed legislation “to prevent United States tax dollars from supporting the Israeli military’s ongoing detention and mistreatment of Palestinian children” – Bill van Esveld of Human Rights Watch (HRW) published an article on HuffPost in support of the bill. The opinion piece was only one example of HRW staffers promoting McCollum’s legislation.

Pressure Works: Heinrich Boell Foundation Withdraws from Conference Featuring Member of Hamas

On November 17, 2017, the Israeli newspaper Makor Rishon exposed that the Ramallah office of the Heinrich Boell Stiftung (HBS) was co-sponsoring a conference, “The 1987 Intifada: History and Memory,” in commemoration of “the thirtieth Anniversary of the First Palestinian Uprising against the Israeli Occupation.” The conference, scheduled to be held in Gaza on November 24-26 and in Beirut on November 28-30, will feature speakers that are former or current members of the Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist organizations.

On UK Outsourcing of Foreign Policy to B’Tselem and Norwegian Refugee Council: Evidence from FOI Requests

In response to a Freedom of Information (FOI) request initiated by NGO Monitor, the British Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) released a series of emails with the Israeli NGO B’Tselem. Heavy redaction notwithstanding, the emails reveal warm, frequent contact between the Israeli NGO and the British government, as well as extensive lobbying efforts on the part of B’Tselem.

Women Wage Peace and the Debate on Partisan NGO Funding

NGOs active in the Arab-Israeli conflict are at the center of intense partisan controversies in Israel, with the issue of funding featuring prominently in the debate. On October 2, 2017, AFPS 34, the Southern France-based branch of Association France Palestine Solidarité, shared a post on its Facebook page praising the Palestinian wave of violence, which began in October 2015 and has included multiple knife and gun attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces.
