A compilation of events, campaigns, statements, and lobbying efforts that have been organized by NGOs to mark 50 years since the Six Day War.
NGOs have already begun to exploit the three significant anniversaries related to the Arab-Israeli conflict, which will be marked in 2017. NGO Monitor estimates that these efforts will intensify as the respective anniversaries draw near, and activists will use them to lend artificial urgency and resonance for their agendas.
As in previous years, many politicized NGOs and charities are exploiting the Christmas season to promote anti-peace campaigns.
The EU´s decision to label products from Israeli settlements in the West Bank and Golan Heights was heavily influenced by highly politicized NGOs, many of which are deeply involved in BDS and working against two-state peace models.
In response to the recent wave of terror, government officials, repeating claims made by highly politicized NGOs, have accused Israel of using "excessive force" when responding to attacks against Israeli civilians, criminalizing Israels right to defend itself.
NGOs with stated human rights agendas, who are generally extremely vocal regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict, have avoided condemning the recent terrorist attacks against Israeli citizens, instead focusing only on the Israeli response to such attacks.
NGOs funded by Catholic aid charities engage in activities that contribute to the international demonization and delegitimization of Israel, including BDS campaigns that seek to isolate Israel diplomatically, economically, culturally, and militarily.
