October 7, 2024 marked the one-year anniversary of the worst attack against the Jewish people since the Holocaust. However, in sharp contrast, NGOs inverted the atrocities committed against Israelis, and continuing the demonization campaign that falsely portrays Israel’s military response to the attacks as “genocide,” “ethnic cleansing,” and “extermination.”
On the 17 and 18 of September 2024, thousands of handheld pagers and hundreds of walkie-talkie radio communicators belonging to members of Hezbollah exploded simultaneously across Lebanon and Syria, reportedly resulting in 3000 dead or severely injured. Multiple NGOs claiming to promote human rights and international law condemned this action, falsely accusing Israel of responsibility for “unlawful and indiscriminate” attacks, and alleging that they harmed civilians as well as Hezbollah targets.
In the aftermath of the barbaric Hamas massacre of October 7 and attacks by Iran and its terror proxies on Israel, the NGO network initiated lawsuits and called on governments around the world to impose a full arms and fuel embargo on Israel and halt military assistance.
In the aftermath of the barbaric Hamas massacre of October 7, rather than use law and international justice frameworks to support the victims of the atrocities, supposed human rights NGOs have sought to use lawfare to spread anti-Israel propaganda and to target allied support for Israel in an effort to harm the IDF’s ability to defeat Hamas.
Importantly, as part of the NGO Durban Declaration and accompanying BDS campaigns, advocacy organizations have sought to turn the ICC into a court of universal jurisdiction. Like their exploitation of the UN and other international frameworks, these NGOs seek to use the ICC for demonization and to brand Israeli officials as “war criminals.”
On February 12, 2024, the Dutch Court of Appeal ruled that the Netherlands must cease transfer of US-owned F-35 fighter jet components to Israel. The appeal was initiated by four pro-BDS NGOs – Oxfam Novib, PAX, Rights Forum, and Amnesty International – which had sued the Dutch government to stop the transfers and had lost in District Court.
There is one network that has constantly denied Hamas' exploitation of Al-Shifa and other hospitals in Gaza -- the influential community of ostensible human rights NGOs, humanitarian aid organizations, and their UN agency partners.
In the wake of the barbaric Hamas massacre of 1,500 Israelis and the kidnapping of more than 200, Amnesty has exploited these events to amplify demonization and delegitimization of the Jewish state.
Many NGOs that claim to promote human rights, humanitarian principles, and international law have condemned Israel for the evacuation warning. This campaign is not only aimed at diverting attention from the barbaric Hamas slaughter of 1,500 Israelis, but also bolsters and enables Hamas.
On October 7, 2023 (which was the Sabbath and a Jewish holiday), hundreds of Palestinian terrorists poured across the border from Gaza into Israel, slaughtering hundreds of Jews, and torturing, maiming, and kidnapping others. In parallel, thousands of rockets were fired at Israeli population centers, sending millions rushing to shelters.
