MEP Patricija Sulin: “What is crucial in the peace process is mutual respect and trust. I support the Two State solution, and regarding the proposed resolution I must say that it’s not balanced enough and if it remains unchanged I will not be able to support it tomorrow. Every coin has to sides, so we cannot blame just one side as this resolution tries.
As a member of the Budgetary Control committee, I believe that it’s also important to note how European funds are being spent. In this complex situation there are NGOs that receive funds from the European budget however there are certain suspicions that they are doing things at the background that are very detrimental to the Peace Process in the Middle East, for instance supporting antisemitism and calling for the destruction of Israel as a state.”
